Below are the full frame photos I took of the Stealth Star "Penetrator" down at Torrance Airport / Zamperini Field a few months back. I finally had the time to read through the website (see links below). The owner of the Stealth Star is Robert Laura. If you read through the web presence, you can get a pretty good feel for the project. To summarize it, the Penetrator is a converted UH-1 Huey with a Kevlar (carbon fiber) skin for better resistance to small arms fire, as well as improved aerodynamics. Modified glazing also allows for better visibility all around. The company surrounding the project is called Aerocraft whose business idea is to convert the out-dated US military Vietnam-era helicopter fleet and modify them into modern Penetrator-type rotorcraft. On the website, you can also find Mr. Laura pictured with Mr. Sikorsky and the helicopter with many different people, including models and bikini models. I don't know where the Stealthstar's home base is, but if it's around Los Angeles somewhere, I should make it my mission to try and meet with Mr. Laura and get introduced to the helicopter project.
The Stealth Star's N-number is N3080W and she's a 1963 Bell UH-1B, serial number 63-8508.
